Closed System Intermittent Catheters
A closed system intermittent catheter, like standard straight catheters, is briefly inserted into the bladder to allow urine to drain; however, with a closed system, the catheter is housed inside a collection bag, so the urine collects in the bag instead of in a toilet, commode, or other waste container. Catheterization can be performed by you or with the help of a caregiver. Intermittent urinary catheterization may be used for either short-term or long-term management, based upon individual needs. If regular catheterization is required, your healthcare professional will provide guidance on how often it should be performed each day.
Always follow the guidance of your healthcare professional and the product Instructions for Use (IFU) to ensure safe use.

Variety and Innovation to Enrich Lives
On average, intermittent catheterization is performed 4-6 times per day or every 4-6 hours. A hygienic and efficient process is essential for bladder management plans. The EZ-Series™ Closed System Intermittent Catheter product line is a comprehensive range developed specifically for infection prevention and independent, self-catheterization. Options include packaging with supplies and without supplies.
Consult with your healthcare professional to determine if a closed system intermittent catheter is necessary for your individual healthcare needs.
